QuickBooks Commerce color-codes stock levels in a Sales Order to provide a visual representation in real-time so that customers easily identify the stock values instead of switching tabs. The color coding is displayed within the sales order under two columns – 'Quantity' and 'Available'.
|Columns||What does it show?|
|'Quantity'||the no. of items/units ordered|
|'Available'||the no. of items/units available at the 'Ship From' location as indicated in the order.|
The color changes depending on the current 'Available' and 'Incoming' stock for a variant selected on a sales order:
Color coding of the item(s) in the 'Quantity' column
Yellow ➝ there is not enough 'available' stock to cover the order, but the incoming stock (in parentheses) will cover the order.
Red ➝ there is not enough 'available' stock to cover the order even if the incoming stock is accounted for.
Black ➝ there is adequate 'available' stock to cover the order.
