Read this yet?
Before you can start gathering insights about your B2B store, you need to have a Google account. Sign up for analytics tracking, and choose what data you want to track.
Here we will cover:
Step 1
Get a Google Account
First, get set up by creating a Google Account here, if you do not have one yet.
You do not have to use the Gmail account for anything other than Google Analytics.
If you already use Google products, such as Gmail or Google Ads, you can use the same account to enable Google Analytics. Click on the ‘Start for free’ button.
Step 2
Enable Google Analytics
The steps required to enable Google Analytics depends on whether you have used your Google account to set up Google Analytics before:
A I have never set up Google Analytics with this Google account before.
B I have used Google Analytics with this Google Account before.
Follow the steps associated with Options Aor B.
Option AHow to enable Google Analytics if you've never used it before
1. In a web browser, open Google Analytics and click Start Measuring.
2. Choose the Google account you are using to sign in (only if you have more than one account).
3. Give this Google Analytics Account a name like My B2B Store (only if you have more than one account) and click Next.
4. Select Web and click Next.
5. Fill in your B2B store details and click Create.
If you use a custom domain, please select https:// and fill in your custom domain name (e.g., mystorename.com). If you don’t use a custom domain, select https:// and fill in your B2B store URL (e.g., storename.gogecko.com)
6. Select the checkboxes to agree to Google’s terms and conditions.
7. Next, you will see a lot of information and options for your use; however, the only thing you need is the Tracking ID. Under the Tracking info vertical, choose Tracking Code, and the ‘Tracking ID’ will be displayed. It will look like something like this UA-123456789-1.
Copy the Tracking ID or take a screenshot and save it to your desktop.
8. Open a new tab, and log in to your QuickBooks Commerce B2B Store Admin. (i.e., storename.gogecko.com/admin)
9. On the top right-hand corner, click on B2B Tools and then Tracking on the sidebar.
10. In the Google Analytics section, paste the Tracking ID you saved/copied earlier into the ‘Google Analytics account field’:
