If you have a tax type in QuickBooks Commerce that is set to 'Both Sales and Purchases Tax’, you’ll need to create a tax type that is enabled for both Sales and Purchases tax on QuickBooks Online (QBO) in order to map the tax type correctly between both platforms. To do this in QBO, go to Taxes > select Manage Sales Tax > click Add Tax > select Add a Custom Tax and Agency > enter all the details, and towards the end, select both of the following options: ‘I collect this on Sales’ & ‘I pay this on Purchases’. Click Add. You’ll now see this tax type within your QBO app’s tax type on TradeGecko to map.
