This article is part of a series helping users get started with the Template Workflows we have included in Automation. To use a Template, visit here and select a Workflow to edit and apply to your orders!
The Workflow helps you to assign Orders from certain Sales Channels to specific Stock Locations based on the customer's region.
Upon Sales Order creation, this workflow checks the Order Source by ID. This is selectable as a dropdown menu when you edit the template and all integrated sales channels in your account will be displayed.
On the workflow show page (shown above) it will show the channel by ID. For example, the B2B Commerce Platform ID is 7, Shopify ID is 2, etc. However, you can also select the channel by Name.
We also look for the Country Code in the Shipping Address of the Customer. If it meets the single or multiple options that we can specify, the order can then be routed to the desired Stock Location that is best suited to fulfill the order. This logic can be expanded by selecting an 'Else If' rule to handle all orders that do not meet the criteria and routing them to a different location.
This action will appear on the 'Order History' column of the Sales Order page, as an action performed by the user on your account who created the Workflow and via Automation.
