This article is part of a series helping users get started with the Template Workflows we have included in Automation. To use a Template, visit here and select a Workflow to edit and apply to your orders!
This workflow helps you to add a Discount to specific new Sales Orders based on attributes such as the sales channel they are created on, and any details specific to the customer such as Company Tags.
Upon Sales Order creation, this Workflow checks the Order Source by ID. This is selectable as a dropdown menu when you edit the template and all integrated sales channels in your account will be displayed.
On the workflow show page (shown above) it will show the channel by ID. For example, the B2B Commerce Platform ID is 7, Shopify ID is 2, etc. However, you can also select the channel by Name.
Next, the Workflow checks for any attributes that you want to specify to narrow down the list of customers. In this case, we have added the rule whereby Automation checks for a Company Tag of 'New B2B Customer' having been added to the Relationships.
Lastly, the discount is applied to all orders that meet the stipulated criteria, wherein this case, a $25 Discount. This will be added to all new qualifying Orders from the point at which you save and enable the Workflow.
Refer to the example below. It needs to be indicated as -25. This line item is then automatically added to the Sales Orders.
This action will appear on the 'Order History' column of the Sales Order page, as an action performed by the user on your account who created the Workflow and via Automation.
