New 2-way Sync for Customer Information
In order to enable this functionality, the permissions associated with TradeGecko’s integration will need to be updated.
To update the permissions, go to the My Apps section within TradeGecko. Click on your Shopify store and go to the Dashboard tab. You’ll see an alert box where you will be able to reauthorize TradeGecko’s permissions, allowing the TradeGecko system to update customer information on Shopify.
Once merchants have reauthorised access and granted permission, TradeGecko will update customer information in a merchant’s Shopify account whenever updates are made to a merchant’s customer information.
New Customer Information .csv Export From TradeGecko
Starting May 12, 2019, Shopify merchants using TradeGecko will be able to export their customer information via .csv file.
To do so, go to the My Apps section within TradeGecko. Click on your Shopify store and go to the Dashboard tab. On the right-hand side, you’ll see a button that gives you the ability to export your customer addresses.
Once clicked, a .csv file will be downloaded onto your computer.

Will TradeGecko Create Duplicate Customer Profiles in My Shopify Store?
No - customers in TradeGecko and Shopify are matched by unique Customer IDs. So long as the customer IDs remain identical, a duplicate customer profile will not be created; any updated information will sync accordingly.
What Happens if I Delete a Customer Profile in TradeGecko or Shopify?
If you delete a customer profile in Shopify it will not delete the corresponding customer profile in TradeGecko and vice versa.
If a customer profile is deleted in Shopify, an error will surface on the error log page for your Shopify integration in TradeGecko noting the issue.
