Customer Sync Details
New Shopify customers are imported into QuickBooks Commerce during the import of orders for that customer. Whenever updates are made to a customer’s information on QuickBooks Commerce, namely their email, phone number, or tax exemption status, that information will be updated back in Shopify as well.
Exporting Customer Information via .csv from QuickBooks Commerce
Shopify merchants using QuickBooks Commerce will be able to export their Shopify customer information stored on QuickBooks Commerce via .csv file.
To do so, go to the My Apps section within QuickBooks Commerce. Click on your Shopify store and go to the Orders Listing Tab. On the right-hand side, you’ll see a button that gives you the ability to export your customer addresses.
Once clicked, a .csv file will be downloaded onto your computer.

Will QuickBooks Commerce create duplicate Customer Profiles in my Shopify store?
No - customers in QuickBooks Commerce and Shopify are matched by unique Customer IDs. So long as the customer IDs remain identical, a duplicate customer profile will not be created; any updated information will sync accordingly.
What happens if I delete a Customer Profile in QuickBooks Commerce or Shopify?
If you delete a customer profile in Shopify it will not delete the corresponding customer profile in QuickBooks Commerce and vice versa.
If a customer profile is deleted in Shopify, an error will surface on the error log page for your Shopify integration in QuickBooks Commerce noting the issue.
