Once the production is completed, you can update the status of the order by clicking “Complete Production”.
You can input the actual quantity you have produced and account for wastage. You can also document the date and time production was completed. At this point, you will be able to put in the quantity that was wasted for each component.
Accounting for Wastage
To account for wastage, first, input the actual number that was produced on the finished product under “Produce Quantity”.
On the component section, you’ll see the “Unconsumed” column. The number that will be displayed here will account for the quantity of the components that have not been used during production. This will be the remainder of the Expected Quantity you have initially set.
If there are component stocks that have not been used in production, you will have the option of manually putting the stock under “Wastage” or “Unconsumed”. Add the quantity on wastage if it was lost or damage during production or simply leave it as “Unconsumed” if you have decided not to use the quantity. It is possible that not all components will have the same amount of wastage.
Once you have accounted for the wastage, click “Complete Production” to close the Production Order. If you have unconsumed units, you can return it to your inventory as Available stock by clicking “Proceed” on the notification that will display when updating your Production Order.
You have now completed your Production Order! Your Manufactured Variant will now increase in stock and the quantity of consumed component stock will be deducted from your inventory.
