QuickBooks Commerce will check whether or not your components have sufficient stock to commit for the Production Order. If the stock is insufficient, you will see an alert box listing all components that do not have the required stock needed to produce the order.
You can choose to proceed with finalizing your Production Order even without sufficient stock. However, you will not be able to start production unless you restock.
Once all the information on your Production Order has been set and if you are ready to begin production, click “Finalize Order”.
Finalizing your order means that you will be committing the stocks of your components to this production. Click Finalize to proceed.
If you have moved on to finalizing the Production Order even with insufficient component stock, the “Start Production” button will not be active and you will be required to replenish the component stock before you can begin production.
On the other hand, finalizing a Production Order with sufficient component stock will allow you to proceed to the next phase. Click Start Production, set the date and time and confirm to update the Production Order to “In Production” state.
You have now completed creating your Production Order.
