Here is a quick summary of the difference between the stock levels that are showing in QuickBooks Commerce:
- Stock on Hand - the actual stock levels that you have in your warehouse regardless if it is committed or not.
- Committed Stock - is the amount of stock that is currently assigned to an active or finalized sales order, but not yet fulfilled. If you use manufacturing, this quantity also includes the stock added to production orders.
- Available Stock - the uncommitted stock you have on hand. Or items that have not been committed into Sales Order.
- Incoming Stock - stock from incoming purchase orders that you are set to receive. If you use manufacturing, this quantity also includes the stock coming in from production orders that are finalized for production or are under production already.
To track Committed stock, navigate through the Variant's Activity section and choose "Open Sales Orders".
