The Barcode Printing by QuickBooks Commerce app enhances your QuickBooks Commerce account by adding barcode printing functionality to your Purchase Orders, Product Batches, and Product Variants.
Install the Barcode Printing app by clicking on Browse Apps from your main navigation bar. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page under the QuickBooks Commerce Labs section, and you will see the 'Barcode Printing' app.
Click on it to run and install it. You will be asked to 'Authorize' the app to have access to your account.
Once the app has been installed, new interactions would have been added to your QuickBooks Commerce account.
From any Purchase Order, you will find that there will be a new action named 'Print Barcodes' under the More Actions dropdown. Clicking on this will take you to the Barcode generation flow.
You will also find the 'Print Barcodes' action on each of your product variants.
You will also find the 'Print Barcodes' action on each of your batches.
Barcode Printing Flow for Purchase Orders
On the first step of the barcode generation flow, you will be asked to select which product variants you would like to generate barcodes for.
Any variants without barcode values will be greyed out.
You can choose which style of barcodes you would like to generate, as well as what type of printing format you would like, and finally, what label you would like on your barcodes.
Barcode Printing Flow for Product Variants
The barcode printing flow for variants and batches is very similar. The main difference being, you can choose the number of barcodes you would like rather than it being determined by the number of items in the Purchase Order.
