You can update barcode numbers in three ways:
Individually
- Go to Inventory > Products
- Select the product and variant you want to edit
- Under Variant Details, update the Barcode field

Bulk Action
- Go to Inventory > Product
- Select the products you want to edit. Click Bulk Action > Open in Bulk Editor
- Click on Edit Columns and select Barcode (UPC, GTIN, etc).
- You can now start updating the Barcodes
Via CSV
- Go to Inventory > Products
- Select the products you want to update
- Click on Bulk Manage > Update Existing Products
- Choose "No I need to download a list of my products".
- Choose Barcode (UPC, GTIN, etc) as the Product Attribute to update, and click on "Build Product Sheet". (Note, Barcode number is also known as UPC or Universal Product Code)
- Download the file and open it with any spreadsheet editor. Then change the values on the UPC column.
- Upload the filled spreadsheet and follow the steps in updating products via CSV.
You're done! Now, you can use barcode to perform the following tasks:
- Scan items onto Sales & Purchase Orders
- Pack Sales Orders
- New Stock Transfers
- Search products by Barcode
- Barcode Printing
- Perform a Stock take

We work with any USB Barcode scanner and recommend the Bluetooth Socket Mobile barcode scanning product range. EAN13/ UPC Barcodes are recommended.
