Caution
As a precautionary measure you should always update your contact information on both platforms.

We recommend managing your debtors and creditors information on Xero. TradeGecko pushes Invoices, Credit Notes and Purchase Orders so that you can set credit limits and track this on Xero.

When customer information is sent to Xero (this is either sent via a Sales Invoice, Credit Note, or Bill) TradeGecko does the following: Check if a Xero contact with the Name and Company Code exists:

  • If Yes, then attach the same contact to the document.
  • If No, then create a new contact and use this on the document.
Warning
If you have a contact on Xero listed as both a customer and a supplier you will need to create a supplier and customer on TradeGecko with the same Name and Company Code as TradeGecko contacts need to be listed as either customers or suppliers.
