With effect from 23 Sept 2020, Xero Integration's help documentations will only apply to existing customers or prospects that have created trials before said date.
We recommend managing your debtors and creditors' information on Xero. QuickBooks Commerce pushes Invoices, Credit Notes, and Purchase Orders so that you can set credit limits and track these on Xero.
When customer information (i.e. QuickBooks Commerce Contact/Relationships) is sent to Xero (this is either sent via a Sales Invoice, Credit Note, or Bill) QuickBooks Commerce does checks if a Xero contact with the Name and Company Code exists:
- If Yes, then attach the same contact to the document.
- If No, then create a new contact and use this on the document.

- As a precautionary measure, you should always update your contact information on both platforms.
- If you have a contact on Xero listed as both a customer and a supplier you will need to create a supplier and customer on QuickBooks Commerce with the same Name and Company Code as QuickBooks Commerce contacts need to be listed as either customers or suppliers.
