If you are in the food and beverage or beer/wine and spirit industries, you are likely to need to make volumetric calculations (profit per liter, excise duties on alcohol content, etc.).
QuickBooks Commerce allows you to enter volumes for your product variants and indicate if the variants contain alcohol. You can edit volume and alcohol content by going to the Inventory section and selecting the variant that needs to be updated.
The options to add/edit volume and alcohol content will only show up if your industry is set to 'Beer, Wine, and Spirits' under your Company Details.
Under the variant details, input the volume (in milliliters) and the alcohol content percentage. Then save your variant.
Alternatively, you can upload volume and alcohol content by downloading and updating the Update via a CSV spreadsheet.
On the main product page, click on Update Existing Products from the Bulk Manage dropdown button. Choose 'No, I need to download a list of my products'.
Download the spreadsheet and go to the fields for Volume and Alcohol content.
Upload the volume (in milliliters) and the alcohol content percentages. Once you have filled in the fields, upload the spreadsheet again, and your variants will reflect the changes.
