Payment methods allow you to decide which ledgers the payments made to their invoices are pushed to, on your Xero account.
QuickBooks Commerce has four types of Payment Methods by default: Cash, Credit Card, Paypal, and Bank Transfer. Find out how to set up more payment methods.
You can sync your payments with different ledger accounts on Xero. Here’s how:
Go to your Xero Settings under My Apps and click on Payment Methods.
Here you can link each payment method to a specific ledger account in Xero. Click Save Changes and you’re done.
If you choose not to link each Payment Method to a Ledger Account, all payment transactions will fallback to the default payment method, which is Cash.
