The Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) specifies the lowest quantity of a certain product that you are willing to sell to your business customer on the B2B eCommerce Portal.
How to set up the MOQ
First, you will need to set up an MOQ for each of the SKUs you intend to publish to your B2B eCommerce Platform. To do so, either set up an MOQ through Variant Edit screen on your web app, or via a CSV upload.
If you are using the csv upload, you will need to add a column to the csv. Name the column one of the following titles exactly, to successfully enable the MOQ:
- MOQ (case insensitive)
- Minimum Order Quantity (case insensitive, but spaces must be there)
Alternatively, if you have an access to TradeGecko API, you can automate the update of SKUs.
How to enforce the MOQ
To enforce the MOQ, proceed to your B2B eCommerce Settings, select the “Require SKU Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) on B2B Sales Orders” option, then save settings.
How TradeGecko validates Sales Orders with MOQs
TradeGecko only validates against MOQ orders that come from B2B. It raises an error if a B2B Sales Order has insufficient MOQ on 1 or more Order Line Items within a Sales Order.
