When creating a purchase order or stock transfer to send stock to an Amazon FBA warehouse, it's possible for Amazon to split the inbound shipment between multiple Amazon FBA warehouses. To help prevent this occurrence, QuickBooks Commerce allows you to select a pack size variant when creating a purchase order or stock transfer destined for an Amazon FBA warehouse.
When using a pack size, QuickBooks Commerce advises Amazon to expect delivery of a case-packed quantity which prevents them from splitting the shipment into quantities that do not match your packs size.
When creating a pack size for this purpose it's important that individual variant SKU and the pack size SKU are the same, otherwise, Amazon will not associate the pack size with the individual unit.
Once you've created a pack size with the same SKU as the individual unit, add it to a purchase order or stock adjustment destined for an Amazon FBA warehouse as normal. When creating the inbound shipment within Amazon, QuickBooks Commerce marks the variant as a case-packed quantity.
