To update the contacts saved to your relationships in bulk, navigate to Relationships on the main navigation bar. On the top right-hand corner, click the Bulk Manage button, and select the Update Relationships option from the dropdown.
You'll be redirected to the following screen. Here, select the Contact option.
To export a current address list, click the Export Contact List button.
The contacts you can export or update depends on your permission. Your administrator can set permissions such that you can only see companies that have been assigned to you. The contacts you have access will be scoped by the companies you have access to.
When the export is ready, the Export Contact List button will change to Download Contact List. Click to Download the spreadsheet with your contact information data.
When editing the downloaded CSV file, please note that the following fields cannot be blank as they are mandatory:
- Contact ID
- Company ID
- First Name
Company Name and Online Ordering cannot be changed. It is also not possible to send Bulk B2B invites on contact updates.
When creating a new contact, add a new row and fill in the First Name and Email but leave the Contact ID blank. The Company ID should also match the company you're adding the contact to.
Once you have amended accordingly, upload the updated spreadsheet back into QuickBooks Commerce.
Your contact information has been updated.
If you use non-English or special characters within your CSV files, using the UTF-8 format will help to prevent processing errors when uploading to QuickBooks Commerce.
