Bulk update contact information

 

To update the contacts saved to your relationships navigate to Relationships, then click the Bulk Manage button. Select the Update Relationships option.

You'll be directed to the following screen, from here select the Contact option:

To export a current address list click the Export Contact List button.

Note

The contacts you can export or update depends on your permissions. Your administrator can set if you can only see companies that have been assigned to you. The contacts you have access will be scoped by the companies you have access to.

When the export is ready, the Export Contact List button will change to Download Contact List. Click to Download the spreadsheet with your contact information data.

When editing the downloaded CSV file, please note that the following fields can’t be blank as they're required:

  • Contact ID
  • Company ID
  • First Name
  • Email

Company Name and Online Ordering cannot be changed. It is also not possible to send Bulk B2B invites on contacts update.

When creating a new contact, just add a new row and fill in the First Name and Email but leave the Contact ID blank. The Company ID should also match the company you're adding the contact to.

Upload the spreadsheet with the changes back into TradeGecko.

Your contact information has been updated!

Encoding your CSV files with UTF-8 to help prevent errors
If you use non-english or special characters within your CSV files, using the UTF-8 format will help to prevent processing errors when uploading to TradeGecko.
