To update the company information of your relationships, navigate to Relationships, then click the Bulk Manage button. Select the Update Relationships option.
You'll be directed to the following screen, from here select the Company option:
To export a current address list, click the Export Company List button.
The companies you can export or update depends on your permissions. Your administrator can set if you can only see companies that have been assigned to you. The contacts you have access will be scoped by the companies you have access to.
When the export is ready, the Export Company List button will change to Download Company List. Click to Download the spreadsheet with your company information data.
A CSV will be generated with the list of companies for you to download and update. Once you make the necessary changes, save the CSV, and it is ready to be re-uploaded onto the same page.
All the fields in the spreadsheet can be changed except for Company Type.
- This is a required field and must be populated with one of the three options provided (Supplier, Business customer, Consumer). The company name is also a required field.
- The website and email fields must be less than 255 characters.
- If a company type is a business customer or consumer, the price list can only be changed to a sell price list.
- If a company type is a supplier, the price list can only be changed to a cost price list.
Upload the saved spreadsheet with the changes back into QuickBooks Commerce. You will receive a confirmation that the update took place successfully.
