How to add owners to TradeGecko Payments account
Go to your TradeGecko Payments> Settings> to edit Additional Owner details.
Why do I need to add owners of my business
This information is only required for businesses registered in UK and SG.
TradeGecko is legally bound to collect and verify information about anybody who owns at least 25% of the company, in addition to the representative. For each owner, the possible fields are:
- First name,
- Last name,
- Date of birth,
- and address.
The address does not need to be in the same country as the account. We will attempt to verify each additional owner and if the verification fails, we may request more information. If the verification is unsuccessful or if the account is found to have withheld information on additional owners, TradeGecko Payments may suspend the merchant account. If that happens, charge creation and payouts are temporarily paused until the relevant information has been provided.
