You can easily use QuickBooks Commerce’s Intelligence Reports to get all the information you need to calculate commissions based on total sales by each of your team members.
First, you’ll need to set up your team members in QuickBooks Commerce. If you’re on the business plan or higher, you can use the advanced permissions to limit your team members to only their assigned orders and companies.
Next, when sales orders are created, ensure that the respective team member is assigned to the order.
Now you are ready to run a report on your team member's sales. Run a Sales Report by Assignee in Intelligence and select the appropriate date range.
Next, select the metrics that you want to include in your commission report by clicking on the Show Me drop-down menu. Click on Run Report.
This will give you a view of the total sales and profit for each of your team members that made sales in that date range selected. To add more data to the report, simply select more metrics from the Show Me drop-down menu.
To focus on one team member at a time, all you need to do is click on Add Filters, select Assignee and enter/select the team member's name. Click on Apply Filter to filter the report for the selected team member. Similarly, you can select other filters or add more filters from the list of filters available to further narrow the report.
Now you’ve got everything you need to calculate commissions. You can export this and all other intelligence reports as a CSV file if necessary.
