Receiving batch tracked inventory on Purchase Orders

 

In order to receive products that are batch tracked, the product must have batch tracking enabled. Once you have enabled batch tracking, go to the Stock Control section of the app and click on New Purchase Order. Fill in the purchase order as you normally would and click create.

Next, receive your order. Let’s receive this order in parts. The first batch will contain 20 of the 30 units ordered.

When you click Receive Selected, you will see this:

Enter the batch ID and confirm the batch quantity. Receive the order when you are ready.

Warning
Once you have assigned this purchase order to a batch the only way to edit the batch quantity manually will be through a stock adjustment.

Once you have received the order in full you will be able to see the batch details within the purchase order.

You can also view the batch and related purchase orders by going to Inventory > Batches and clicking on the batch for further details. This is useful for handling recalls in batches.
