A CNAME record is a DNS record that points your subdomains to another domain. In this case, you will want your CNAME record to point to yourstorename.gogeckossl.com.
To set up a subdomain:
1. Log in to your account with your domain provider. (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, Bluehost, Network Solutions, etc.)
2. Find your DNS settings usually located at your account admin panel, your domain management area, DNS configuration, or similar.
3. Open the settings and view your current DNS records. Each entry should show:
- an original location (often listed in a column called Name, Host, or Alias)
- the type of the record (for example, CNAME)
- the destination the record is pointing to.
4. You need to add a CNAME Record or update an existing one.
5. The admin panel might feature drop-downs or editable fields, or you might have to check boxes or edit a table. You need to make sure the three components of the record are set.
6. Enter the original location for the pointer. In this case, it is your subdomain prefix. You can use any prefix you like, for example:
7. Use the existing entries as a guide, or follow your provider's instructions:
- Enter yourstorename.gogeckossl.com as the destination. The field or column that you have to type into might be called something like Value, Points to, or Destination.
- If you see a TTL field and you can edit it, set the TTL to 30 seconds (or the smallest value allowed)

9. Check that your CNAME record has been set correctly as each domain provider displays their DNS records in different ways.
A TXT record is a record that allows you to add additional information to a named service. Add a TXT record by following the steps below so that QuickBooks Commerce can verify your ownership of the domain and activate your custom subdomain for your B2B Commerce platform.
1. Log in to your account with your domain provider. (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, Bluehost, Network Solutions etc.)
2. Under the domain you wish to manage, click on Action/Manage DNS Records or similar options. For different domain providers, TXT records can also be found under Zone File Records or Advanced DNS. Check with your domain provider and edit to make changes.
3. Click Add and select TXT from the menu of record types.
4. Complete the fields:
- Host: Name as listed on QuickBooks Commerce (e.g. _acme-challenge.store)
- TXT value: to be copied from the QuickBooks Commerce website
- Select how long the server should cache the information, also known as TTL.
5. Click Save.
